Lose the Weight for good!

As a busy mom, it can be difficult to prioritize your health and fitness goals. But one simple way to get started is by cleaning up your diet. It’s not about following a strict, restrictive diet plan – it’s about making small, sustainable changes that will help you feel better, have more energy, and support your fitness goals in the long term. How many times have you started a diet, lost weight, then gone back to your normal habits resulting in gaining weight back?

Losing weight can be a struggle, but it doesn’t have to be. By making small changes to your diet and lifestyle, you can achieve long-term success. And then is the time to jump into a cut or diet plan. So how do you start losing weight and set yourself up for success to keep it off forever?

Clean up your diet. Start eating healthier. And make room for treats (because lets be real, we want to enjoy food too).

Here are a few tips that I follow myself to help you do just that:

  1. Eat your bodyweight in protein: Protein is essential for building and repairing muscle tissue, which is important for anyone looking to get stronger and leaner. A good rule of thumb is to aim to eat your bodyweight in protein each day. This might sound like a lot, but it’s easier than you think – just include a serving of protein with each meal and snac
  2. Eat less processed foods: Processed foods are often high in calories, sugar, and unhealthy fats, which can contribute to weight gain. Instead, aim to focus on whole, nutrient-dense foods like fruits, vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins. Choose foods that are as close to their natural state as possible.
  3. Eat more greens and veggies: Green vegetables like kale, spinach, and broccoli are packed with vitamins, minerals, and fiber. They can also help you feel fuller for longer, which can prevent overeating. Aim to eat at least one serving of vegetables with every meal.
  4. Use the 80/20 rule: Finally, don’t forget to give yourself some flexibility. No one can eat perfectly all the time, and it’s important to allow yourself some treats and indulgences. Try using the 80/20 rule – aim to eat healthy, whole foods 80% of the time, and allow yourself some wiggle room the other 20%. This will help you maintain a healthy balance and prevent burnout.

Remember, cleaning up your diet doesn’t have to be complicated or overwhelming. Start with these simple tips, and you’ll be well on your way to feeling your best and achieving your fitness goals. And as a mom boss, taking care of yourself is the first step to taking care of your family and crushing your goals.
